I wasn't sure what was missing in my practice, but I knew that something was. This was it. How to apply Qi Gong and all my form work. Energy is the level every practitioner should aspire to reach. Now it's accessible! It you're seeking it, you'll find it here! If you're not, you should be. - Kisig Lopez
The practice of push hands has always been a bit of a mystery. I've been to many workshops, but I only came away with some mechanical drills which were soon forgotten. What Chris is teaching is energy. It's not a bunch of drills and techniques. You touch someone and use your and their energy against them. It's what I've always been looking for but no one would teach. Now here it is. Amazing! - Julius
You can practice Tai Chi for years and still not be able to apply it. These books have what is missing in my practice for all those years. Studied with many teachers, but no one ever taught this stuff. Wish I had found this sooner! - Craig Charpied
In the 4 ebooks offered here, how to BUILD, MOVE, and USE energy is broken down into digestible chapters. It's extremely rare to find someone who will teach energy, the highest level of Tai Chi. No one else on the planet breaks this stuff down and teaches it like this. Development of the skills given in the chapters is given in an order that allow any practitioner to raise the level of their Tai Chi tremendously.
Each chapter contains an "explanation" section which is then followed by a "drills" section. Each chapter also contains example and/or drills photographs, along with videos of the material. The videos have purposely been kept short, since file size quickly becomes an issue for downloads.
This stuff is challenging to learn without making it mysterious, so I've tried to make it as simple and as clear as possible. Due to it's nature, at first learning energy may feel somewhat mysterious, but just like learning to ride a bicycle: desire, drive, and practice will pay off. ANYONE can learn energy. All you need is a little trust and patience. It's not something you need to practice 8 hours a day. 15 minutes a day by yourself, and then getting together with a partner a couple times a week, will take you a long, long way. It's like throwing a few coins in a piggy bank everyday. As time passes, your assets will continue to increase.
Practicing hard and often will get you to the "center" IF you're pointed in the right direction. The purpose of these books is to point you in the right direction and give you all the tools you will need to become a high level Tai Chi practitioner. Energy is the highest level. These are the only books I have seen that cover this material. These books are unique across the planet!
Learning push hands systematically and correctly has always been a problem. Chris details the how, why and wherefores and talks of the skills like building a foundation, aim, and working of the point. A must-read for the serious Tai Chi practitioner. - Ken Parker
Everybody supposedly in the know talks about how Push Hands is a martial application of Tai Chi. Trouble is, nobody has really gone into details on how this can be acquired. Chris does this by breaking push hands into understandable chunks replete with explanations and exercises. It's way more than just doing drills. It's about how to build and use energy. This is the "real" stuff, what the high level guys know and do. If you're serious about Tai Chi, these books are for you! - Justin Wong
